Write and test a rule in Shadow
Create a rule for one application, test it against example input, and activate it in Shadow. Shadow records the proposed result for real activity without changing what the application does.

Create the rule
Open the application’s policy page and create a rule. Choose the condition, the scope, and the result: Allow, Warn, Transform, Escalate, or Deny.
Test it
Run the rule against example input and recorded sessions. Check that it decides the cases you expect and leaves the others alone.
Activate it in Shadow
Activate the tested version in Shadow. It records the proposed result for real activity. It doesn’t change application behavior, create reviews, or send notifications.
