Policy rule settings

Policy rules live in the Rules workspace under Policy. Policy authors create and change rules; publishers and approvers authorize deployment.

Compliance Officers have read-only access to rule details. An assigned approval capability lets them act on the deployment request, not edit the rule.

Open policy rules

Open Policy, then Rules. Read-only roles can open the same list but not change it.

Choose an application

Select the application whose data you will use to write and test the rule. Check its confirmed fields and responsible Developer assignment. Organization and group rules also need a selected application as this starting point.

Write, test, and review the rule

Follow Describe, Confirm inputs, Review logic, Test, Review impact, and Activate. Review the test results and intended scope before requesting activation. Keep approvals, versions, and audit history with the rule in this workspace.

Advanced Rego testing stays with the application-scoped rule. VeriProof uses that application’s confirmed field registry and generated example input.
