Retirement and offboarding
Open Settings → Retirement and offboarding when an application or the organization will stop using VeriProof. Start with a preview. It shows the affected work without stopping activity or revoking credentials.
Choose the scope
Select one application for retirement or choose the organization-wide offboarding option. VeriProof checks your current authority again when you confirm the change.
Review the impact
Check the affected applications, open reviews, callback credentials, retention period, and legal holds. Confirm who will handle unfinished reviews. Resolve any blocking warning before continuing.
Confirm the exact operation
Check the application name or organization scope again. Enter the requested confirmation text and explain why the operation is needed. If the preview has changed or expired, create a new one before continuing.
Follow the recorded progress
Review the recorded progress, not only the confirmation that an operation was submitted. If a step cannot finish, retry the same operation. VeriProof continues from the unfinished step without repeating completed work.
Do not treat retirement or offboarding as evidence deletion. Required review and audit records remain subject to retention and legal-hold rules.
Application retirement revokes the selected application’s current and rotating workload credentials. Organization offboarding revokes current and rotating workload credentials across the organization. A paused application does not resume merely because a lifecycle operation completed.
