AI prompt preferences

Use AI prompt preferences to change the wording or instructions for supported portal AI tasks. The required output structure stays the same.

Choose the smallest change that meets the need. Use Terms and style for shared wording, or Custom prompts when a specific task needs different instructions. These settings are not a substitute for governance rules or reviewer authorization.

VeriProof defaults

Use the current platform-managed prompts and industry context. This mode needs the least maintenance.

Terms and style

Set preferred terminology, audience, output style, and compliance tone. A terminology entry replaces one displayed term with another in supported AI output.

Keep terms consistent with your policies and evidence. Avoid replacing an established regulatory term with a shorter phrase that changes its meaning. Select Save terminology after editing the mappings.

Custom prompts

For a supported AI task, you can:

  • Add instructions to the existing task prompt.
  • Replace the task prompt while keeping the platform output structure.
  • Apply the change across the organization or to one application.
  • Record a reason for the change.

Review the complete prompt before saving. Test it with non-sensitive inputs that reflect the task, then check whether the response answers the intended question.

Include a typical case and a case with missing or conflicting evidence. Check that the output distinguishes facts from estimates and does not invent a conclusion. Record the purpose and scope so another person can review the change later.

Return to platform-managed prompts

Remove a custom prompt when its instructions are no longer needed. Check the resulting prompt for that task and application before using it.

Reset all removes organization-level custom prompts. Application-specific prompts stay in place. Check those application settings separately if the goal is to remove all custom instructions. Review the confirmation before selecting Reset organization prompts.

A replacement prompt does not automatically receive VeriProof’s prompt updates. Review each VeriProof prompt updated notice and retest your replacement when needed.
