Annotate a record
You can’t change records, but you can annotate the session steps you review. Annotations stay with the record, so anyone who opens it later sees them.

Add an annotation
Open a session in your engagement. Protected sessions are marked in the list and can’t be opened from your role, so pick one that isn’t. If every session in your engagement is protected, ask your Compliance Officer or Administrator for one you can open.
Select a step on the session’s timeline. Under Annotations, select Add annotation and choose a type:
- Comment for an observation.
- Flag for something that needs a response.
- Question for something you need explained.
- Correction when the record looks wrong.
Say what you saw and which evidence you checked. An annotation doesn’t change the step or its integrity proof.
Engagement findings
Your Compliance Officer or Administrator records the engagement’s findings and tracks their remediation. Open the engagement and go to Findings to read them. If your annotations support a finding, tell them which sessions to cite.
