Time Machine
Open Time Machine when you need to explain a session outcome. Start with its summary, then inspect the steps that support the result. The view uses recorded evidence. It does not rerun the model or recover data the integration never sent.
Open the session
Open Sessions, an application’s Sessions tab, or a linked review item. Select the relevant session and confirm its application, identifier, and time.
Your role determines which records and actions are available. A link to a session does not grant access to it.
Follow the recorded work
Choose the story view that fits the question. Timeline shows recorded order; Hierarchy and Journey help explain delegated work. Chat shows captured exchanges when available. Not every session supports every view.
Open a step to inspect its timing, model information, policy signals, and available input or output. For multi-agent work, follow the parent and child relationships rather than assuming nearby steps caused one another.
Separate facts from interpretation
Read the policy result with the rule version and inputs recorded for that decision. Keep a reviewer’s response separate from the application’s later reported outcome.
A screen capture shows visual context. For a business result, inspect the verification step and its authoritative source. A success message alone does not establish that a transaction completed.
Missing content may reflect capture settings, retention, or restricted access. It is not evidence that a step had no input or output.
Check integrity evidence
Use the integrity action available for the session’s configured proof provider. Review the verification result and check time, not only the presence of a proof reference.
A provider connection failure is not an integrity mismatch. A mismatch needs investigation; it does not identify the cause by itself. See Session integrity for provider-specific results.
Integrity verification does not establish that the original business facts were correct or that a compliance requirement was met.
Compare sessions after a change
Compare separate recorded sessions using the available session comparison workflow. Keep application scope, workload, policy version, and capture settings comparable where possible.
Time Machine does not generate a new model response beside an old one. Run an approved evaluation separately when you need to test new behavior.
Share or export evidence
Before sharing a session link, confirm the recipient has access to its application and evidence. For a portable record, use the export actions your role permits and review the stated scope.
Follow Export compliance evidence to check the package contents and integrity information. A list export and an evidence package are not interchangeable.
Check what remains available
Retention follows the organization’s configured session-data and governance-record periods, not a universal plan-based duration. Review Retention policy for the current settings.
To capture additional detail in future sessions, review your data-handling requirements before changing the integration. Enabling capture does not restore content absent from earlier sessions.
