Session Comparison
Session Comparison opens two sessions side by side so you can see exactly where outcomes, policy results, or metadata changed.
Use it for:
- Comparing a re-evaluated session with the original result.
- Checking the effect of a rule or model change.
- Investigating regressions in a repeat pattern.
Tip: Start from Time Machine or Sessions, then compare only once you know which reference session should act as the baseline.
Session Comparison
Use Session Comparison when a plain timeline is not enough. It is designed to answer one question clearly: what changed between these two runs?
Business Owners do not have session-level access and cannot use Session Comparison. All other roles can open this view from Time Machine or the Sessions page.
Highlighted differences are easiest to interpret when both sessions are scoped to the same application, workflow, or intent.
Session Comparison is the best tool for verifying a rule change had its intended effect. Compare a session from before the change against a re-evaluation run from after it — the Policy diff panel shows exactly which rules changed their verdict and for which steps.
You can compare policy outcomes and evidence readiness between two sessions — the policy diff, framework coverage delta, and metadata comparison are all available. You do not see the per-step execution trace, but the Policy diff panel shows you where rule verdicts and outcomes changed, which is the most relevant signal for compliance review.
Export a comparison report from the Export menu. The report includes both session summaries, the highlighted differences, and the blockchain anchoring status of each session — ready to attach to your evidence package.
Typical comparisons
- Before and after a model rollout.
- Original result versus re-evaluation.
- A clean session versus a flagged session.
